It is my life's mission to serve as a leader and to utilize my expertise to                                                                                                        make a significant difference in the lives of others.

Hello! My name is Brittney Jackson and I am originally from Maplewood, New Jersey.

As a first-generation college student, my parents always stressed the importance of becoming a lifelong learner. Thus, I have made it a personal goal of mine to use education as a means to reach my goals in life.

Upon graduating high school, I received a unique opportunity to become a student-athlete at the University of Tennessee- Knoxville (UT). The transition from New Jersey to Tennessee was a culture shock for me and as a result, I began to involve myself in various departments on campus.

As I started to cultivate new relationships, I found a passion for working with college students. I love helping them succeed in their endeavors and I enjoy assisting in their development as they mature into young adults.

In 2014, I graduated UT with my degree in Journalism & Electronic Media. My former dreams of becoming a broadcaster quickly shifted into pursuing a profession in higher education.

I now attend graduate school at the University of Memphis (U of M) to pursue a Master of Science in Leadership & Policy Studies with a concentration in Student Personnel.

As I prepare to graduate the U of M, I am confident in my ability to succeed as a working professional. My progression throughout the curriculum has served as the foundation for my ventures and I am excited to continue my journey into the field of higher education.
